1st and 2nd GradeAsSalaamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh
I am originally from New Jersey. I lived in Georgia for over twenty years and I recently relocated to Florida. I left the business world and started my teaching career to stay with my children who are now 30 and 25 years old. I homeschooled my son through middle school and realized the online courses were focused on content and not mastery. Students were expected to complete assignments, pass end of chapter tests and then they were graded. There was no concern if the student mastered or learned the material. This motivated me to continue my education in Instructional Design and Development and Educational Psychology. I chose Instructional Design to learn how to create online courses and Educational Psychology to understand how learning takes place. My educational experience taught that learning requires attention, retention, motivation, or prior knowledge. InshaAllah, I will be pursuing my certification as a virtual teacher and I would be developing apps designed for literacy skills. I believe ALLAH (sw) has instilled in everyone a natural desire for learning. My goal is to tap into your child’s natural desires that will ignite the learning requirements. Alhumduilillah, for the opportunity to work with Makkah International Institute and I look forward to helping you and your child in their academic journey. |

I moved to Haiti in 2015, and continued building educational programs in French and Haitian Creole. I also continued to teach English and coordinated an after school arts program. I earned my Bachelor's in Psychology and Spanish, and have been enthusiastic about the health and progress of people ever since.
